On August 8, the 11th China Fish Meal and Fish Oil Industry Conference and the 2022 annual meeting of the Fish Meal and Fish Oil Branch of the China Fisheries Circulation and Processing Association were successfully held in Hohhot. More than 200 industry insiders from producers, feed enterprise representatives and experts from the national fishmeal and fish oil industry attended the meeting. At the meeting, representatives had extensive and in-depth exchanges on global fishmeal production and trade, domestic fishmeal production and market conditions, the impact on the industry after the new national standard of fishmeal came into force, as well as the improvement of feed formula, cost optimization technology and tax control strategy under the high international raw materials. President Cui He of the Association attended the meeting and delivered a speech.
During the meeting, Feng Yuan, President of the Fish Meal and Fish Oil Branch, and Xu Jianbin, Executive President, presided over the meeting of the Board of Directors and the President's Office, and reviewed the work done by the Branch in the past year. The branch has been committed to the communication and exchange between the domestic fishmeal industry and the counterparts of import traders and upstream and downstream customers, and has used the network platform and WeChat platform to provide technical, market and other information for member units. In case of any change in the market, timely provide risk tips and market analysis to member units, and actively guide members to avoid risks. At the same time, we should pay attention to the information communication between members and end customers, and communicate with end customers on the production rhythm, inventory quantity, price changes and other aspects of information from time to time to communicate their views and demands. Check the quality and quantity of products, ensure the continuous and stable supply of products, and provide better services for end customers.
Last year, some leading enterprises of the branch actively participated in the revision of the new national standard of fishmeal. During the period, the branch extensively collected industry information, fully listened to the opinions of other member units, and fed back the suggestions to the expert group on the revision of the new national standard of fishmeal; Actively voice for domestic fishmeal and improve its market competitiveness. After the new national standard came into effect, the branch actively contacted experts to interpret the new national standard, helping enterprises to connect with the new national standard faster and better in production.
In recent years, with the increasing pressure on environmental protection and resources, many enterprises in the industry are thinking about how to transform. In view of the prominent problems faced by the industry, the branch will visit the main production areas from time to time, go deep into the member enterprises, understand the difficulties in the actual operation of the enterprises, make full use of the platform of the General Assembly and the branch, connect the supply and demand sides, and help members establish new channels of communication and open up new markets. At the same time, the branch organized the introduction of advanced processes and production technologies to help member units carry out product upgrading, energy conservation and emission reduction. All work has been highly recognized by the industry. In 2021, the branch will add more than 10 member units, including import traders, upstream and downstream enterprises of fish meal, which fully demonstrates that the cohesion of the branch is constantly strengthening.
In order to guide the healthy development of the domestic fishmeal and fish oil industry and improve the market image of the domestic fishmeal and fish oil industry, the branch organized the establishment of an industry self-discipline committee, put forward the slogan of "industry self-discipline, start from me", improve the technology and quality, reject the adulteration of fishmeal, malicious competition and other acts, establish an industry self-discipline publicity system, and publicize the member units that do not comply with the industry self-discipline convention and the customers who do not comply with the contract and breach the contract without cause. At the same time, all members set an example, actively cooperate with the work of government departments such as fishery administration and environmental protection in daily production and enterprise operation, and abide by national laws and regulations. The work of the self-regulatory committee has received strong support from members and unanimous praise from customers.
While summing up the achievements, the branch also clearly recognized that there are still many deficiencies in the work. First, the association's proceedings are too democratic. We should adhere to the principle of democratic centralism, stand high, keep pace with the times, and always put the overall situation first. The second is that the industry service work is not prominent, and should be further strengthened in safeguarding the overall interests of the industry, otherwise it will affect the enthusiasm of member enterprises to participate. The third is that the leading members of the Association have multiple duties and are busy with their affairs, so they do not have enough time and energy to plan for development. Fourth, the role of the association as a bridge and link is not enough, and there is less contact between members, which still has a certain distance from the expectations of the majority of members. The above problems need to be seriously overcome and solved by taking practical and effective measures in the future work.
